CLARINET
The clarinet is often considered one of the most versatile of all modern instruments. This woodwind instrument uses a single reed and can be heard playing jazz in big bands or  concert bands as well as in orchestras.

In order to play the clarinet it is important that a child’s front teeth are firmly established. The instrument is quite heavy, particularly if using a wooden instrument as opposed to a plastic one. The finger holes are larger than any of the other woodwind instruments so large fingers make clarinet playing easier. Age 9-10 is a good starting age for the clarinet.

Arrange a FREE trial lesson to be assessed for size and suitability.
